About the event

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Arbitrary Detention and Hostage Affairs would like to invite you to its hearing on the case of British citizen formerly arbitrarily detained in Russia, Vladimir Kara-Murza. The hearing will take place on Wednesday 7 May from 17.00 - 18.30, in Committee Room 4 (TBC). The hearing is part of the APPG's ad-hoc inquiry into the cases of British citizens arbitrarily detained and held for leverage by foreign Governments. 

 

Speakers will include:

  • Vladimir Kara-Murza, journalist and political activist formerly arbitrarily detained in Russia.

  • Evgenia Kara-Murza, wife of Vladimir and lead campaigner for his release.

  • Jonas Helyar, Global Magnitsky Justice Campaign.
